Zebra DS8178-SR FIPS Wireless Barcode Scanner USB Kit - DS8178-SR7U2100PFW

Elevate your point-of-sale checkout and asset tracking with the Zebra DS8178-SR cordless 2D area imager kit. Powered by an 800 MHz microprocessor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor, and Zebra's PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology, the DS8178 instantly captures dense, poorly printed, damaged, crinkled, or smartphone-displayed barcodes. This high-security FIPS configuration incorporates PowerCap supercapacitor technology, enabling ultra-fast recharging and eliminating battery decay over time.

Designed for seamless hands-free and handheld operation, this complete USB kit includes a presentation cradle that charges the scanner while automatically triggering hands-free scanning when an item is presented. FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certification ensures government-grade encryption for sensitive data transmissions across the Bluetooth 4.0 link. Supported by Zebra's Wi-Fi Friendly Mode, the DS8178 operates without creating channel interference on your store or facility's wireless network.
