The Cisco Meraki MX68 is a cloud-managed security and SD-WAN appliance designed for small to medium-sized businesses and branch offices with up to 50 users. It combines an extensive suite of network services and robust security features into a single, easy-to-manage desktop device.
Product Features & Capabilities:
Cloud Management: The MX68 is 100% cloud-managed via an intuitive web-based dashboard, enabling zero-touch provisioning for rapid, remote deployment without on-site IT expertise.
Integrated Security: It offers comprehensive Unified Threat Management (UTM) capabilities including a Layer 7 firewall, intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) powered by Cisco Talos' SNORT engine, content filtering, and Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP).
SD-WAN & Auto VPN: The appliance features software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) capabilities and Meraki's Auto VPN, which automatically generates secure site-to-site VPN tunnels for connecting distributed locations simply and securely over redundant internet connections.
High Performance: It provides a stateful firewall throughput of up to 700 Mbps (450 Mbps in some configurations) and VPN throughput of up to 400 Mbps (200 Mbps in some configurations).
Connectivity & Ports: The device includes dual Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports for failover and load balancing, 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports (including two PoE+ ports with a 60W total budget to power devices like IP phones or access points), and a USB port for 3G/4G cellular failover.
